Familial lipomatosis is a rare disease that leads to the occurrence of multiple benign tumors of lipid tissue (lipomas). Through the genome wide analysis of linkage in affected persons, performed together with the Institute for Human Genetics of the University of Hamburg, potential disease loci are being investigated.
